Books events that have taken place
• The book launch took place on 16 September 2010 at the Oxfam Bookshop in St Giles, Oxford, where the diary was found. The photograph below shows, from left to right: Philip Pullman, Michael Johnson, and John Mitchinson.

• Chipping Norton's bookshop and café, Jaffé and Neale, hosted a book event on 23 September. From left to right: Patrick Neale, Michael Johnson, and Polly Jaffé.
• An entertaining Panel Discussion took place at the main Blackwell Bookshop, 48-51 Broad Street, Oxford, on Wednesday 13 October 2010, to a sell-out audience. From left to right: John Mitchinson (one of the men behind QI) chaired the event; Michael Johnson; David Shirt, scientist and lexicographer, with a special interest in ornithology; Clive Hurst, Head of Rare Books and Printed Ephemera at the Bodleian Library, Oxford; and Professor Paul Luna, Head of Typography and Graphic Communication at Reading University.

• Michael Johnson gave a talk about A Dodo at Oxford at the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival on Saturday 2 April 2011. The talk included readings from the diary, slides, and a discussion about the book. He also did a reading of entries from the diary at the Highland Park Keynotes later that day.
